• A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA APPOINTING ONE MEMBER OF THE
GENERAL EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT BOARD; AND PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, through the adoption of Ordinance No. 2010-07 on May 27, 2010, the Village
Council adopted wholesale revisions to the General Employees Pension Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, Section 2-151 of the Pension Ordinance now provides that two members of the
General Employees Retirement Board ("Board") shall be Village residents selected by the
Village Council; and
WHEREAS, on June 3, 2010, the Village Council unanimously voted to reappoint Jim Peterson
as one of the resident members of the Board and to interview volunteers for the other position; and
WHEREAS, through the adoption of Resolution 2010-55, the Village Council ratified the
appointment of Jim Peterson and appointed an additional resident member who subsequently
indicated that he was unable to serve in this capacity due to restrictions imposed by his
employer; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council wishes to appoint the remaining resident member of the Board,
as required by the Village Code of Ordinances, who shall serve a term of two (2) years.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing "whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby appoints the following individual to serve as resident
member of the General Employees Retirement Board:

Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
