ROLL CALL
Mayor Manuel called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. All members of Council were present.
All members of staffwere present.
APPLICANT INTERVIEWS
Interviews were conducted with applicants to the General Employees Pension Board and the
Ad Hoc Business Advisory Committee. The following persons were present for interviews with
the Village Council:

RESOLUTION 2010-54 -APPOINTING MEMBERS TO AD HOC BUSINESS ADVISORY
COMMITTEE
By written ballot, the original of which is attached to the minutes of record, the Council
appointed Thomas Andres, Gloria Malden Kaplan, Bob Miles, Barry Paraizo, David Polk, Brian
Pruitt, Kim Roetzer, Raj Shah, and Brian Yarnell to the Ad Hoc Business Advisory Committee.
Thereafter, the names of those appointed were entered into Resolution 2010-54.
A motion was made by President Pro Tem Norris, seconded by Councilman Gebbia, and passed
unanimously to adopt Resolution 2010-54 entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
• FLORIDA APPOINTING NINE MEMBERS TO THE AD HOC BUSINESS ADVISORY
COMMITTEE; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

RESOLUTION 2010-55 -APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE GENERAL EMPLOYEES
RETIREMENT BOARD
A motion was made by President Pro Tem Norris, seconded by Councilman Hernacki, and
passed unanimously to adopt Resolution 2010-55 entitled:
RETIREMENT BOARD; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM
BEACH FLORIDA APPOINTING TWO MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL EMPLOYEES
Gerald Mangold and Jim Peterson were appointed as resident members for a term of two years.
CODE ENFORCEMENT SPECIAL MAGISTRATE INTERVIEWS
Village Attorney Len Rubin reported the Village received 32 responses to the Request for
Qualifications for Code Enforcement Special Magistrate Services.
The following attorneys were present for interviews with the Village Council:
Barry S. Balmuth
William P. Doney
B. Douglas MacGibbon
Roger G. Saberson
David W. Schmidt
Mr. Rubin noted that Council received a letter from Thomas Baird, who could not be present as
he was out of town.

appointed Thomas J. Baird as Code Enforcement Special Magistrate and David W. Schmidt as
Alternate Code Enforcement Special Magistrate. Thereafter, the names of those appointed were
entered into Resolution 2010-56.
RESOLUTION 2010-56 -APPOINTING CODE ENFORCEMENT SPECIAL MAGISTRATE
AND ALTERNATE CODE ENFORCEMENT SPECIAL MAGISTRATE
A motion was made by President Pro Tem Norris, seconded by Councilman Hernacki, and
passed unanimously to adopt Resolution 2010-56 entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM
BEACH, FLORIDA APPOINTING A CODE ENFORCEMENT SPECIAL MAGISTRATE
AND AN ALTERNATE CODE ENFORCEMENT SPECIAL MAGISTRATE; AND PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
ADJOURNMENT
With no further business to come before the Council, the meeting adjourned at 8:47 p.m.
