A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA APPOINTING TWO MEMBERS OF THE
GENERAL EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT BOARD; AND PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, through the adoption of Ordinance No. 2010-07 on May 27, 2010, the Village
Council adopted wholesale revisions to the General Employees Pension Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, Section 2-151 of the Pension Ordinance now provides that two members of the
General Employees Retirement Board ("Board") shall be Village residents selected by the
Village Council; and
WHEREAS, on June 3, 2010, the Village Council unanimously voted to reappoint Jim Peterson
as one o f the resident members of the Boazd and to interview volunteers for the other position; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council wishes to appoint the resident members of the Board as
required by the Village Code of Ordinances, each of whom shall serve a term of two (2) years.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing "whereas." clauses are hereby ratified and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby appoints the following individuals to serve as resident
members of the General Employees Retirement Boazd:
Member: Jim Peterson
Member: Gerald Mangold
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
