A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING RESOLUTION 2010-31 TO
ALLOCATE FUNDS EXPENDED FOR THE REPAIR OF THE PUBLIC
SAFETY FACILITY'S EMERGENCY GENERATOR AND THE RENTAL OF
A TEMPORARY GENERATOR TO THE CORRECT OPERATING ACCOUNTS;
AMENDING THE ADOPTED GENERAL FUND BUDGET FOR FISCAL
YEAR 2009-2010 TO TRANSFER $23,476.00 FROM THE PUBLIC SAFETY
MACHINERY AND EQUIPMENT CAPITAL ACCOUNT TO FUND SUCH
EQUIPMENT REPAIR AND RENTAL; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, through the adoption of Resolution 2010-31, the Village Council authorized repairs
to the Public Safety Facility's emergency generator and the rental of a temporary generator while
such repairs were being performed at a total cost not to exceed $23,475.78, with funds expended
from the Facility Services Machinery & Equipment Capital Account; and .
WHEREAS, the Finance Department subsequently discovered that such expenditure did not
qualify as a capital purchase; consequently, the account referenced in Resolution 2010-31 was
incorrect; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council wishes to allocate the expenditure of funds for the repair and
rental from the correct operating accounts and to fund such accounts by formally amending the
adopted General Fund budget for fiscal year 2009-2010 to transfer funds from the General
Services Public Safety Machinery & Equipment Capital. Account to such operating accounts; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM
BEACH, FLORIDA, as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby amends Resolution 2010-31 to authorize the
expenditure of $23,475.78 to perform the necessary repairs to the Public Safety Facility's
emergency generator and to rent a temporary generator while such repairs were being performed
from the following accounts: (1) $17,750.78 for the repair of the emergency generator from
Account No. A5519-34650 (Repair and Maintenance -Machinery and Equipment); and
(2) $5,725.00 for the rental of a temporary generator from Account No. A5519-34420
(Equipment Rental Account).

Section 3. In order to provide the necessary funding for the repair and rental, the Village
• Council hereby amends the adopted Village of North Palm Beach General Fund budget for Fiscal
Year 2009-2010 as follows:

Section 4. The Mayor and Village Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute the
budget amendment for and on behalf of the Village of North Palm Beach.
Section 5. All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to
the extent of such conflict.
Section 6. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
