A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE ADOPTED GENERAL
FUND BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2009-2010 TO TRANSFER $100,000
FROM THE COUNCIL CONTINGENCY ACCOUNT TO THE COMMUNITY
PLANNING -SMALL BUSINESS GRANT EXPENSE ACCOUNT TO FUND
THE SMALL BUSINESS GRANT PROGRAM; PROVIDING FOR THE
CARRY OVER OF UNEXPENDED FUNDS TO THE NEXT FISCAL YEAR;
PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Village Council approved a Small Business Grant Program to provide
individual matching grants of up to $5,000 for improvements to small business properties and
agreed to utilize the Council Contingency Account as a funding source for this Program; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council wishes to formally amend the adopted General Fund budget for
fiscal year 2009-2010 to transfer funds from the Council Contingency Account to the
Community Planning -Small Business Grant Expense account to fund these matching grants; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM
BEACH, FLORIDA, as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby amends the adopted Village of North Palm Beach
General Fund budget for Fiscal Year 2009-2010 as follows:

Section 3. The Mayor and Village Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute the
budget amendment for and on behalf of the Village of North Palm Beach. Because the Small
Business Grant Program is continual in nature, all unexpended Small Business Grant Expense
funds may be carried over to the subsequent fiscal year and may be added to the corresponding
• approved fiscal year 2010/2011 budget balance and be re-appropriated for expenditure.

Section 4. All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to
• the extent of such conflict.
Section 5. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
