AN ORDINANCF. OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA,
AMF,NDING ORDINANCE N0. 20, IT BEING THE COMPREHENSIVE ZONING
ORDINANCE OF SAID VILLAGE, BY AMENDING THE REQUIREMENTS FOR MINIMUM
ACCESS STAIRWAYS IN BUILDINGS TWO STORIES OR GREATER IN HEIGHT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA:

(~j Section 1. Section 4 of Ordinance No. 20 be and the same

~ is hereby amended by changing Paragraph G thereof to read as follows:
"G. In all multi-family residential or commercial
buildings two stories or greater in height which
are not equipped with elevators provided with standby
emergency power and having minimum cab dimensions which
will permit the use of the elevator cab by normal
size emergency ambulance stretchers, there shall be a
minimum of one access stairway serving every story.
Such stairway shall have the following minimum dimensions:
1. Minimum width of stairway to be 5 feet.
2. Minimum dimensions of all landings to
be 10 feet by six feet, six inches."
