AN ORllINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA,
AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 20, IT BEING THE COMPREHENSIVE ZONING
ORDINANCE OF SAID VILLAGE, BY AMENDING THE DEFINITIONS OF "LIVING

~ Section 1. Section 2 of Ordinance No. 20 of the Village
oi' North Palm }teach, as it has been amended, is hereby further
amended by adding thereto the definitions of "living Area",
"r'loor Area", "Drug Store" and "Pharmacy" as follows:
"Living area is that area within any dwelling or
rooming unit, measured between the inner sides
of the exterior walls, made usable for human
habitation, with the following exceptions: any
utility room or storage space that is not access-
ible from within the principal structure; all
common corridors, hallways or exits provided for
access or vertical travel between stories or
apartments of multiple-family units.
Floor area is all floor space within the exterior
walls of a structure.
A Drug Store is a store engaged in the sale of
prescription drugs and other items not necessarily
related to pharmaceuticals.
A Pharmacy is an establishment engaged in the
preparation of prescription drugs and the sale
of drugs, prosthetic supplies, surgical instru-
ments and supplies, and sale and/or rental of aids
for invalids."
Section 2. Section 8.A.3 of Ordinance No. 20, as it has
' been amended, is hereby further amended to read as follows:
"3. Personal service establishments, including
but not limited to banks, barber shops, bowling
alleys, beauty salons, medical and dental clinics,
professional and other offices, funeral homes,
filling stations, shoe repair shops, laundry
pickup stations and self-service laundries,
furniture display stores and drug stores."

Section 3. Section B.B. of Ordinance No. 20, as it has
been amended, is hereby further amended to read as follows:
"B. BUILDING HEIGHT REGULATIONS: For buildings
in excess of two (2) stories or thirty (30) feet
in heig}it, five (5) feet shall be added to the '
required front-yard setback for each story in
excess of two (2) or in excess of thirty (30) feet
in height. Where depth of a lot is less than 225
feet, or where rear portion of lot abuts a canal
of not less than eighty (80) feet in width, the
maximum lot coverage permitted shall be fifty (50)
percent; on lots exceeding 225 feet in depth the
maximum coverage permitted shall be forty (40)
percent."
Section 4. Section S.E.3 of Ordinance No. 20, as it
has been amended, is hereby further amended to read as follows:
"3. Medical or dental offices or clinics, one
space for each 150 square feet of floor area,
up to 3,000 square feet; one additional space
for each additional 200 square feet of floor
area up to 5,000 square feet; and one additional
space for each additional 250 square feet of
floor space in excess of 5,000 square feet."
Section 5. Section S.E. of Ordinance No. 20, as it '
has been amended, is hereby further amended by adding thereto
Paragraph 8 to read as follows:
"8. Furniture display stores, one space for
each 400 square feet of sales area."
Section 6. Section 17.G "Table of Parking Spaces
Required" is hereby amended for the "Uses" of "Medical and
Dental. Clinics; lloctors and Dentists Offices", by amending the
"Parking Spaces Required" to read as follows:
"Under "Parking Spaces Required", delete first
paragraph of second column and insert: "one (1)
space for each one hundred and fifty (150) square
feet of floor area up to three thousand (3,000);
one additional space for each additional two
hundred (200) square feet up to five thousand
(5,000); one additional space for each additional
two hundred and fifty (250) square feet over five ,
thousand (5,000)."
