A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE REPAIR OF THE
PUBLIC SAFETY FACILITY'S EMERGENCY GENERATOR BY
PANTROPIC POWER, INC. AND THE RENTAL OF A TEMPORARY
GENERATOR; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Village discovered that the radiator in the Caterpillar emergency generator
located at the Village's Public Safety facility is in need of replacement; and
WHEREAS, the Village wishes to engage the services of Pantropic Power, Inc. to make the
required repairs to the emergency generator and to provide a temporary generator during the time
necessary to repair the generator; and
WHEREAS, Pantropic Power, Inc. is the only licensed dealer in South Florida authorized to
provide parts and service to Caterpillar equipment; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the approval of the repairs to the emergency
generator by Pantropic Power, Inc. as a sole source purchase is in the best interests of the
residents and citizens of the Village of North Palm Beach.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM
BEACH, FLORIDA, as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing "whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby authorizes Pantropic Power, Inc, to perform the
necessary repairs to the Public Safety Facility's emergency generator and to provide a temporary
generator while such repairs are made at a total cost not to exceed $23,475.78 with funds expended
from the Facility Services Machinery and Equipment Capital Account Number A5519-66490.
A copy of the proposal provided by Pantropic Power, Inc. is attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and
incorporated herein.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
