Hayor Pierman called the Budget Workshop session to order at 7:00 p.m. All
members of the Council were present. The Village Hanager and the Finance
Director were present.
Council discussed the Library Department and Law Enforcement Department. During
the Library discussion it was consensus to increase Video Cassettes expense from
ffi3,000 to ffi5,000 and increase the Book Acquisition expense from ;30,800 to
ffi33,784. In the Law Enforcement budget, following a lengthy discussion regarding
overtime and overtime categories, it was a consensus to create the Holiday Pay
category and Training Overtime category for the purpose of better defining
overtime cost. In addition, Council opted to eliminate the patrol boat motor
replacement for ;8,825 from Capital Outlay and provided a tentative consensus
regarding the Police Chief's expenses to attend the F.B.I. Academy in October,
1989.
Members of the public were in attendance at this meeting.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:00 p.m.
