VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA

Mayor Pierman called the Workshop Session to order at 7:30 p.m.
All Council members were present except President Pro Tem Marks who
was out of town.
Budget discussion continued with explanation from Public safety
Department regarding their overtime recommendations, including
detail of holiday pay, and followed with a detail of a breakdown
of the overtime classifications by the number of hours incurred.
Council directed staff to create a holiday pay category whereby
' said pay would not be defined as overtime pay starting in FY 89-
90. council proceeded to complete the personnel portion of Police
Department and moved into the operation and maintenance expense
portion of their budget and stopped at Account No. 34710, Printing
& Binding.
Council decided to take the week of July 24, 1989, off and
reconvene the workshop sessions starting Monday night, July 31, at
7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. in addition, Council set the tentative
millage rate at 4.55 mills and forwarded that figure to the
Property Appraiser. In the same action, Council also set Thursday,
September 14, 1989, at 6:30 p.m. in the Village Hall Council
Chambers the first public hearing and September 28, 1989, the
second public hearing for finalizing the FY 89-90 operating budget.
Members of the public were in attendance at this meeting.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:00 p.m.
