Mayor Pierman called the Workshop Session to order at 10:35 p.m. ROLL CALL
All members of the Council and the staff were present.
A discussion was held concerning Bill No. 568, a proposed BILL N0. 568
ordinance amending Sec. 2-116 of the Village Code by changing the
method of removal of the Village Manager and compensation for
such removal. This item will be placed on the regular session
agenda of May 11, 1989.
A discussion was held concerning a proposed resolution creating a RES. CREATING
Country Club Study Committee; setting forth the composition and COUNTRY CLUB
the duties and responsibilities of said committee. The Council STUDY
instructed the Village Attorney to draft a new resolution on this COMMITTEE
and bring it back to them at a future workshop session.
A discussion was held concerning award of bid to Coastal Ford, BID AWARD -
Ft. Lauderdale, FL, for cab and chassis in the amount of CAB & CHASSIS
$24,731.81; and award of bid to Southland Equipment Company, & REFUSE PACKER
Bartow, FL, for refuse packer body in the amount of $20,694.00, BODY
the monies for both to be expended from Account No.
10-534-033-66410 (Automotive). This item will be placed on the
regular session agenda of May 11, 1989, with a recommendation
from staff as to why they didn't accept the lowest bid on this
equipment.
A discussion was held concerning a 6-month extension of the lease AGREEMENT -
between Club Car, Inc., and the Village of North Palm Beach for CLUB CAR, INC.
60 golf carts at the North Palm Beach Country Club. This item & VILLAGE
will be placed on the regular session agenda of May 11, 1989.
Discussion concerning bathrooms on the North Palm Beac h Country BATHROOMS - GOLF
Club golf course will be placed on the May 11, 1989 workshop COURSE - NPBCC
session agenda as Council ran out of time and could not discuss
this tonight.
The contribution offer from Gene Bates to refurbish the soccer CONTRIBUTION OFFER
field at St. Clare's School will also be placed on the May 11, FROM GENE BATES -
1989 workshop session agenda because of Council's 11:00 p.m. ST. CLARE SOCCER
curfew. FIELD

There being no further business to come before the Council, the ADJOURNMENT
meeting was adjourned at 11:00 p.m.
