ORDINANCE N0. 181-68 AN ORDINANCE OF T}}E VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA 1 lCJ N r--~ C.~ L~ LEVYING A TAX ON REAL AND PERSONAL PROPERTY LOCATED WITHIN T}{E CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH FOR THE YEAR ENDING DECEMBF,R 31, 1968, FIXING THE TOTAL VALUATION THEREON AND THE TAX MILEAGE, RATE THEREON FOR SAID YEAR; ADOPTING A FISCAL BUDGET FOR TI[E FISCAL YEAR NOVEMBER 1, 1968 TO OCTOBER 31, 1969, INCLUSIVE, FOR THE. GENERAL GOVERNMENT AND DEBT SERVICE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTI{ PALM BEACH ANU FOR T}{E PARTICULAR USE OF THE NORTH PALM BEACH COUNTRY CLUB; APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR EXPENDITURES AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT WITH THIS ORDINANCE, RE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: Section 1. That for the year ending December 31, 1968 1 the valuation of all real and personal property within the Village oi' North Palm Beach, excluding property owned by the Village of North Palm Beach, Palm Beach County, State of Florida and those properties exempted by State, County or Village laws and ordinances, is hereby determined to be and is fixed as follows: GROSS ASSESSED VALUATION AS EQUALIZED - REAL PROPERTY }[OMESTEAD EXEMPTION $11,646,980 WIDOWS' & DISABILITY EXEMPTION 18,000 1 TOTAL EXEMPTIONS NE'T' ASSESSED VALUATION - REAL PROPERTY NET ASSESSED VALUATION AS EQUALIZED - PERSONAL PROPERTY TOTAL ASSESSF.ll VALUATION AS EQUALIZED - REAL PROPERTY AND PERSONAL PROPERTY $68,085,766 11,664,980 $56,420,786 $ 1,401,431 $57,822,217 Section 2. For the year ending December 31, 1968 a tax of eight and five-tenths mills on the dollar shall be and is hereby levied, and shall be collected on all real and personal property within the Village of North Palm Beach, not specifically `~ ~ Ordinance No. 181-68 Page two designated as homestead property or owned by the Municipality and/or expressly exempted by the laws and Constitution of Florida, for the purpose of raising funds for the improvement and government of the Village, and for the payment of its obligations and expenses and for the purpose of carrying out the purposes and duties granted and imposed by its charter: Which is a tax of eight and five-tenths mills that shall be and is hereby levied and shall be collected on all .real and personal property as set forth in above Section 1, less homestead, widows' and disability exemptions, for the purpose of raising funds for the payment of the General Government Fund, Debt Service Fund and North Palm Reach Country Club Fund purposes for the Village of North Palm Beach, and is set forth hereafter in budget form. Section 3. That for the fiscal year ending October 31, 1.969, revenues for the General Government Fund and Debt Service Fund of the Village are anticipated as set forth on Exhibit A attached hereto entitled "The Village of North Palm Beach, Florida, General Fund, Statement of Estimated Revenue 1968-69" and by reference made a part ' hereof. Section 4. That for the fiscal year ending October 31, 1969 the expenditures for the General Government of the Village and Debt Service Fund are hereby appropriated as set forth on Exhibit B attached hereto as Village of North Palm Beach Budget for the Fiscal Year 1968-G9 consisting of Pages through both inclusive, which Exhibit is by reference made a part of this Ordinance. Section 5. That for the fiscal year ending October 31,1969 revenues for the North Palm Beach Country Club are anticipated as set forth on Exhibit C attached hereto entitled "The Village of North Palm Beach, Florida., Country Club, Statement of Estimated Revenue 1968-69" and by reference made a part hereof. , Section 6. That for the fiscal year ending October 31, 1969 the expenditures for the North Palm Beach Country Club are hereby appropriated as set forth on Exhibit D attached hereto as Village of 2~ Ordinance No. 181-68 Page three North Palm Beach Country Club Budget for the Fiscal Year 1968-69 consisting of Pages through both inclusive, which Exhibit is by reference made a part of this Ordinance. Section 7. A certified copy of this Ordinance shall be delivered by the Village Clerk to the Village Tax Assessor, together wit}z the tax assessment roll as equalized, and the Tax Assessor shall then proceed to assess and extend the taxes on the tax assess- ment roll according to and in the proportion to the valuation entered therein; when this has been done, the Tax Assessor shall deliver the r" z~ol.l to the Village Clerk who shall certify and deliver same, or a N ~ copy thereof, to the Village Tax Collector and the latter shall, V V beginning November 1, 1968, proceed in the manner provided by law to collect and receive said taxes. Section 8. A statement of calculations for the tax levy of eight and two-tenths mills for the fiscal year ending October 31, 1969 ' is set forth on F,xhibit E which is attached hereto and by reference made a part hereof. Section 9. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. PLACED ON FIRST READING THIS 10TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 1968.
