Mayor Valente called the Workshop Session to order at 8:55 p,m.
All members of the Council and the staff were present.
A discussion was held concerning Bill No. 506, a proposed
ordinance amending Chapter 45 of the North Palm Beach Code, the
Zoning Code, by adding new sections to C-1-A, Limited Commercial
District, which require activities, sale and storage of goods to
be within C-1-A, Limited Con~nercial District and C-1,
Neighborhood Commercial District. This item will be placed on
the regular session agenda of April 9, 1987 for first reading.
A discussion was held concerning a burglar alarm system for the
North Palm Beach Country Club. This item will be placed on the
workshop session agenda of April 9, 1987.
A discussion was held to review the Waterway Patrol cost
estimates. This item will be placed on the workshop session
agenda of April 9, 1987.
A discussion was held concerning the Proposal from Seth Ford
Carpets, Inc. for the furnishing and installation of carpet in
the Village Hall Conference Room and Council Chambers in the
amount of $3,035 to be expended as follows: E1,755 from Account
No. 10-519-019-34620 (R & M Buildings and Grounds) and $1,280
from Account No. 10-519-019-35214 (Building Maintenance
Supplies). This item will be placed on the regular session
agenda of April 9, 1987.
A discussion was held concerning the Village taking over the
operations of tennis and the pool at the North Palm Beach Country
Club for fiscal year 1987-88, This item will be brought back to
Council at a future workshop after the National Golf foundation
study for the country club has been completed.
A discussion was held concerning the preparation of an ordinance
to transfer funds from the Council Contingency Account to the
General Fund to pay for the first year's cost for the National
Golf Foundation study at the North Palm Beach Country Club. This
item will be placed on the workshop session agenda of April 9,
1987.
A discussion was held concerning the lease with the Foundation
Land Company for Anchorage Park. This item will be placed on the
t regular session agenda of April 9, 1987 for the purpose of
authorizing the Mayor to sign said lease.
A discussion was held concerning the Vernon Moore lawsuit. It
was the Village Attorney's opinion that we should settle this
lawsuit out of court and the Council concurred.
There being no further business to come before the Council, the
meeting was adjourned at 10: 2 p,m.
