Mayor Valente called the Budget Workshop Session to order at 7:00 Fb~LL CALL
p.m. All members of the Council were present. The Village
Manager and the Finance Director were present.
There were no changes in Clubhouse and Grounds. Council advised COUNTRY CLUB
of $11,998 deficit in Debt Service because of prior Finance BUDGET'
Director's miscalculation. Deficit to be taken out of current
year surplus, which means using a budget ordinance.
Council agreed to a charge of $1.00 per round for walkers. As I
understand it, the player will sign up with the cashier and be
given a ticket. The ticket then goes to the starter. This will
have to be ironed out better by staff and/or administration.
In the Golf Course Maintenance budget a new line item was added
called "Tee Construction", number 35227, and $8,000 was
budgeted.
' Under Learn to Swim revenues, they were increased by $750.
Under Pool Appropriations - Swim Instructions, the figure was
adjusted from $2,600 to $2,350 and the hourly rate was dropped to
$4.50.
Under Revenues, $20,000 under Account 00233 was appropriated for
the walkers. Greens fees was changed from $160,000 to $162,000;
Golf Cart Rentals changed from $225,000 to $227,000.
Council requested that the Pros be asked if they wished to submit
alternative proposals with regard to Doming year contracts. Wye
should get together on the composition of a letter to them as
quickly as possible.
