AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA,
ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE FIRE PREVENTION CODE

AMERICAN INSURANCE ASSOCIATION, 1965 EDITION, AND BY SETTING FORTH
PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. Under the authority of Section 165.191, Florida.
Statutes, the Village of North Palm Beach hereby adopts by reference
thereto the "Fire Prevention Code" recommended by the American In-
surance Association, 1965 Edition, as the fire code for the Village
of North Palm Beach, Florida., with the following exception; that
Article 31, Section 14.5, Chapter 2, Section 22, Paragraph 221 (a)
be amended to read as follows:
"Standpipe systems for Class I and Class III
services shall have risers which are not less than
4 inches in size for buildings not exceeding 5
stories or 50 feet in height, and 6 inches for
buildings in excess of 5 stories or 50 feet in
height."
Section 2. There has been for at least ten days last past
and shall be during the time that this Code is in effect in the
Village of North Palm Beach three copies of such Code, referred to in
Section 1 above, available for public use, inspection and examination
in the office of the Village Clerk.
Section 3. Any person, fdrm, corporation or agent who shall
violate a provision of this Code or fail to comply therewith or with
any of the requirements thereof shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
Each such person shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense for each
and every day or portion thereof during which any violation of any
' of the provisions of this Code is committed or continued, and upon
conviction of any such violation, such person shall be punished by a
i'ine not to exceed Five Hundred Dollars or by imprisonment not to
exceed sixty days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
