05-09-1985 VC WS-MMINUTES OF WORKSHOP SESSION OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA HELD THURSDAY, MAY 9, 1985 Present: Tom Valente, Mayor Al Moore, Vice Mayor ' Harriet Nolan, President Pro Tem Craig Mundt, Councilman Raymond J. Howland, Village Manager Herbert L. Gildan, Village Attorney Dolores R. Walker, Village Clerk Absent: V. A. Marks. M. D., Councilman Mayor Valente called the Workshop Session to order at 9:45 p.m. ROLL CALL All members of the Council were present except Councilman Marks, who was out of town. All members of the staff were present. A discussion was held concerning the proposed amendments to the TRAVEL Travel Regulations adopted by Resolution No. 45-80, September 25, REGULATION 1980, regarding increasing the mileage allowance, the lodging AMENDMENTS rate, and food allowance for lunch and dinner. Council made some changes to the proposed amendments. The Village Manager is to incorporate these changes in a resolution, and this item will appear on the regular session agenda of May 23, 1985. A discussion was held concerning the latest revision of the PROPOSED Satellite Television Antenna Ordinance. This item will appear on SATELLITE the regular session agenda of May 23, 1985. TV ORDINANCE ' A discussion was held concerning exploring the possibilities of PURCHASE OF purchasing the property south of, and contiguous to, our Public PROPERTY S0. OF Services Building. The Village Manager is to check to see what PUBLIC SERVICES the owners are asking for this property and bring this item back BUILDING to the Council as soon as possible. A discussion was held concerning the possibility of adopting a LIMITING TERMS resolution limiting the years of service that a person can serve ON VILLAGE on Village advisory boards. Since the majority of the Council ADVISORY BOARDS was opposed to this, no action will be taken.
