Mayor Valente called the Workshop Session to order at 9:30 p.m
All members of the Council and the staff were present.
A discussion was held concerning the bid award for lights, poles
and labor for Osborne Park. A resolution will be typed awarding
the bids as follows: 24 luminaires -- Peninsular Electric -- in
the amount of $4,704; four concrete poles -- Southeastern
Prestressed Concrete, Inc. -- in the amount of $4,524;
installation of four concrete poles, labor and materials --
Signal Construction Company -- in the amount of $2,699, the
monies to be expended from Account No. 10-572-036-34621 (Poles -
Osborne). This item will appear on the regular session agenda of
May 9, 1985.
A discussion was held concerning the award of bid to Bemis
Company, Inc., Terre Haute, Indiana, for 3,000 boxes of
polyethylene refuse bags at $4.94 per box, for a total of
' $14,820, to be expended from Inventory Account No.
10-000-000-14120. A resolution will be typed awarding this bid
and the item will appear an the regular session agenda of May 9,
1985.
A discussion was held concerning the award of bid to McCourt
Construction Company for the resurfacing of the four tennis
courts at the North Palm Beach Country Club in the amount of
$11,795, to be expended from the ROF Account, contingent upon
adoption of the budget ordinance for ROF expenditures. A
resolution will be typed awarding this bid and the item will
appear on the regular session agenda of May 9, 1985.
A discussion was held concerning rental fees for use of the North
Palm Beach Community Center by groups. This item was withdrawn
and will be brought back at a later date when information on the
contract with George Delacorte regarding charging fees for use of
the Center is reviewed.
A discussion was held concerning the purchase of a microcomputer
for the Village Manager's office. The money is to be transferred
from the Council Contingency Account for this purchase and the
item will appear on the regular session agenda of May 9, 1985.
A discussion was held concerning the leaks in the roof of the
' North Palm Beach Library. It was determined that the library
would have to have a new roof in the very near future. The cost
estimate for the roof is approximately $15,000 which will be
placed in next year's budget.
There being no further business to come before the Council, the
meeting was adjourned at 10.15 p.m.
