VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA

Mayor Marks called the Workshop Session to order at 8:36 p.m. ROLL CALL
All members of the Council were present.
A discussion was held concerning the award of bid to Stuart BID AWARD -
Engineering Contractors, Stuart, FL, for relocation of the fifth 5th HOLE PUMP
hole pump at the North Palm Beach Country Club, the monies to be
expended from ROF funds. This item will be placed on the regular
session agenda of April 26, 1984.
A discussion was held concerning recommendations regarding the ALLOCATION
allocation of the 1982-83 ROF funds. A budget ordinance will be OF ROF FUNDS
prepared (without the truck) and this item will be placed on the
regular session agenda of April 26, 1984.
A discussion was held concerning authorization for the Village LIBRARY STAMP
Manager to sell the Library Stamp and Coin Collection, with the & COIN COLLECTION
proceeds to go to the Library Gift Account. It was the consensus
of the Council that this collection should not be sold;
therefore, it will remain at the North Palm Beach Library.
A discussion was held concerning a proposed ordinance for PROPOSED ORD.
Volunteer Emergency Medical Technician Volunteers. This FOR VOLUNTEER
ordinance will be prepared and the item will be placed on the EMT'S
regular session agenda of April 26, 1984.
A discussion was held concerning the establishment of a new POSITION OF
position in the Public Safety Department entitled Corporal, with CORPORAL - PUBLIC
a starting salary of $18,500 per year. This item will be placed SAFETY DEPT.
on the regular session agenda of April 26, 1984.
A discussion was held concerning authorizing the Village Manager DEMOLITION -
to let bids for demolition of the Winter Club. This item will be WINTER CLUB
placed on the regular session agenda of April 26, 1984.
A discussion was held concerning House Bill Nos. 853 and 854, OPPOSITION TO
Police/Fire Retirement, and also House Bill No. 839, Collective HOUSE BILLS
Bargaining. A letter will be sent, over the Mayor's signature,to 853, 854 & 839
the Chairman of the Palm Beach County Legislative Delegation
urging the Delegation to strongly oppose these bills.
' There being no further business to come before the Council, the ADJOURNMENT
meeting was adjourned at 9:42 p.m.
