10-13-1983 VC WS-MMINUTES OF [dORKSHOP SESSION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FIARIAA HELD THURSDAY, OCTOBER 13, 1983 Present: Tom Valente, Mayor V. A. Marks, M. D., Vice Mayor ' Craig Mundt, President Pro Tem Al Moore, Councilman Harriet Nolan, Cotmcilwoman Raymond J. Howland, Village Manager Thomas J. Yeager, Village Attorney Dolores R. Walker, Village Clerk Mayor Valente called the Workshop Session to order at 9:55 p.m. All members of the Council and the staff were present. A discussion was held concerning additional inprovemecits to the Marina parking areas. It was the consensus of the Council that the only inprovem~t they wanted to make at this time is the 85 bumper stops at $8,00 each, for a total cost of $680.00. A discussion was held concerning the appointment of a represen- tative from North Palm Beach to attend meetings of the Palm Beach Gardens High Co~nmatity School Advisory Camdttee. The Council appointed Mrs. Kathleen M. Hecht, 130 Bowsprit Drive, as the Village's representative on this committee. A discussion was held concerning the Explorer Post 911 Address Alert Program. This program involves painting 6" x 12" numbers on a resident's sidewalk in the center of their driveway. For the resident this is a means of further emergency protection in that it facilitates quick identification by the Public Safety Department and for the Explorers it is afund-raiser. The majority of the Council indicated that they had no objection to this program.
