Mayor Valente called the Workshop Session to order at 9:55 p.m.
All members of the Council and the staff were present.
A discussion was held concerning additional inprovemecits to the
Marina parking areas. It was the consensus of the Council that
the only inprovem~t they wanted to make at this time is the 85
bumper stops at $8,00 each, for a total cost of $680.00.
A discussion was held concerning the appointment of a represen-
tative from North Palm Beach to attend meetings of the Palm Beach
Gardens High Co~nmatity School Advisory Camdttee. The Council
appointed Mrs. Kathleen M. Hecht, 130 Bowsprit Drive, as the
Village's representative on this committee.
A discussion was held concerning the Explorer Post 911 Address
Alert Program. This program involves painting 6" x 12" numbers
on a resident's sidewalk in the center of their driveway. For
the resident this is a means of further emergency protection in
that it facilitates quick identification by the Public Safety
Department and for the Explorers it is afund-raiser. The majority
of the Council indicated that they had no objection to this program.
There being no further business to caarie before the Council; the
meeting was adjourned at 10:20 p.m.
