Mayor Valente called the Workshop Sessiat to order at 8:35 P.M.
All members of the Council and Staff were present.
A discussion was held concerning Bill No. 425, a proposed
Ordinance amending Section 2-146 of the Village of North
Palm Beach Code by amending the definition of final average
earnings for the retirement benefit for employees of the
Village of North Palm Beach. There will be correctiavs
made to this Bill and it will be placed on the Regular
Session agenda of August 11, 1983.
A discussion was held concerning Bill No. 426, a proposed
Ordinance amending the Charter of the Village of North
Palm Beach by limiting the terms of the members of the
Village Council to a maximun of six (6) consecutive years
of service as a meter of the Village Council. Since
Councilwanan Nolan was the only CoLmcil member interested
in this bill, it failed.
A discussion was held concerning the unused telemetry
equipm~-t at top of the Marina Tower condortninimtm in Old
Port Cove. 'This item will appear on the Regular Session
agenda of August 11, 1983.
A discussion was held concerning updating the Village
Comprehensive Plan. The Village Camcil directed the
Village Manager to tell Mr. O'Meilia that this should be
done in-house unless he can prove tows that he cacmot
do it in-house.
There being no further business to came before the Council,
the meeting was adjourned at 9:20 P. M.
