09-09-1982 VC WS-MMINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP SESSION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA HELD THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 9, 1982 ~I I I Present: Absent: Vice Mayor All members Mayor Moore W. H. Brown, Vice Mayor Harriet Nolan, President Pro Tem Tom Valente, Councilman V. A. Marks, M.D., Councilman Raymond J. Howland, Village Manager Herbert L. Gildan, Village Attorney Dolores R. Walker, Village Clerk Al Moore, Mayor Brown called the meeting or order at 8:10 P.M of the Council and staff were present save due to vacation. Discussion was held concerning a letter from Daytona Beach Shores regarding the one-half cent sales tax. After some discussion is was decided that the Village Attorney will write a letter to the League of Cities and to the Candidates now running for office, with a copy of the letter to Daytona Beach Shores, stating the Village's feelings on this matter. ROLL CALL ONE-HALF CENT SALES TAX Discussion was held concerning changing the Village Code ORDINANCE BOND deleting the requirement for a $2,000 Ordinance Bond for FOR LICENSED licensed contractors. It was decided that this item will CONTRACTORS be on the next Regular Agenda of September 23, 1982.
