VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA
HELD THURSDAY, AUGUST 12, 1982
Present: Al Moore, Mayor
W. H. Brown, Vice Mayor
Harriet Nolan, President Pro Tem
Tom Valente, Councilman
Raymond J. Howland, Village Manager
Joan C. Bernola, Finance Director
Herbert L. Gildan, Village Attorney
Absent: V. A. Marks, M.D., Councilman
Dolores R. Walker, Village Clerk
Mayor Moore called the Workshop Session to order at ROLL CALL
8:25 P.M. All members of the Council and staff were
present except Councilman Marks and the Village Clerk,
Mrs. Walker.
Discussion was held concerning the Pension Plans for the PENSION PLANS
Village. Mr. Harry Boggs, the Pension Plan Actuary for FIRE AND POLICE
the Village was present to answer any questions. The & GENERAL
Mayor advised the audience that Council had met on
August 10, 1982 to discuss these plans and had made
various changes to the plans.
After considerable discussion, it was decided that
nothing further could be done until Mr. Boggs could
bring something back for the Council to review.
Discussion was held concerning amending building code BUILDING CODE
permit fees. This item will be placed on the Regular PERMIT FEES
Agenda of August 26, 1982.
Discussion was held concerning amending the- Code
CODE ENFORCEMENT
Enforcement Board Ordinance. Thie Ordinance will be BOARD
put on the Regular Agenda of August 26, 1982; also,
the appointment of the additional member needed as per
new State Statutes governing this Board.
Discussion was held concerning a Resolution from the FLORIDA POWER
City of Coral Springs concerning the Florida Power and & LIGHT INCREASE
Light proposed increase. It was decided that no further
action would be taken concerning this matter.
There being no further business to come before the ADJOURNMENT
Council the meeting was adjourned at 10:20 P.M.
