11-12-1981 VC WS-MMINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP SESSION OF THE VILiAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PAiM BEACH, FIARIDA HELD THURSASY, NOVF2iBER 12, 1981 Present: V. A. Marks, M.D., Mayor Tom Valente, Vice Mayor William H. Brown, President Pro Tem Al Moore, Councilman Harriet Nolan, Coimcilwanan ' Herbert L. Gildan, Village Attorney Raymond J. Howland, Village Manager Dolores R. Walker, Village Clerk Mayor Marks called the Workshop Sessian to order at 8:33 p:m. All ROLL CALL members of the Council and Staff were present. A discussion was held concerning a Mutual Aid Agreement between Palm MUTUAL AID Beach County and all other participants in the expanded 911 system AGREEI~NT - 911 for Palm Beach Coturty. This item will be placed on the Regular Session agenda for December 10, 1981. A discussion was held concerning the review of Delacorte plans as DELACORTE presented. Both Steve Yeckes and Phil Lochner were present. It CONSTRUCT was decided that a special Council meeting be scheduled for the first Wednesday in December, which is December 2nd, for the purpose of considering the authorization for the Yeckes-Lochner firm to proceed with plans and specifications for the Delacorte Comnmity Center A discussion was held concerning the rrnbile bare sites for staff MacARTHUR BEACH at MacArthur Beach. Council recarcrended sending this matter to the STATE RECREATION Planning and Zoning Board and ask them to came up with an ordinance AREA I~BILE HOME which would be suitable for this situation. Councilman Brckm is to SITE contact Mr. Landrum and ask that the site for the trailers be changed. A discussion was held concerning dock extensions, Lakeside Park area. DOCK EXTENSIONS IJr. John Bacon, who was representing concerned residents, was present LAKESIDE PARK in the audience. Council reconnpnded that Herb Gildan look into amending docks portion of Village Code to allow variances for hard- ship in unique circtmistances. A discussion was held concerning the delivery of urnaanted newspapers. DELIVIItY OF Council recoamerrded that a notice be put in the next Village news- UNWANTID NEWSPAPERS letter that if a resident does not desire to receive any of these newspapers he may write to the editor requesting that the delivery be stopped. A discussion was held concerning reappointing Dr. McGlxrdy as Medical MEDICAL DIRECTOR Director for the Village paramedic forces. This item will be placed on the Regular agenda for the December 10, 1981 meeting.
