Ordinance 161 C-1-A Building Permits - 90 days Requirement ORDINANCE N0. 161-67 ' AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF 1QORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, PROHIBITING THE BUILDING OFFICIAL'S OFFICE FROM ISSUING ANY BUILDING PERMITS FOR ZONING DISTRICT C-lA FOR A PERIOD OF 90 DAYS ' WHEREAS, there is considerable public interest concerning the building which ma.y be erected in Zoning District C-lA, and WHEREAS, there is considerable public interest concerning the locations of C-1A districts within the Village of North Palm Beach, and WHEREAS, the Village Council, after a substantial study a.nd with great • concern for the orderly development of the community, has determined that a, comprehen- sive review of the location of C-lA zones and the uses permitted therefor is necessary, and WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the Village Council that a period of 90 days is necessary for the Planning and Zoning Board of North Palm Beach, the public and 'the Village Council to consider the problems in great depth concerning the health, welfare and safety of the Village residents and the protection of their property, so as to provide the Village of North Palm Beach with a. comprehensive zoning plan tailored to the best interests of the property owners and the residents of the Village. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: Section 1. The Building Official's Office is hereby directed to issue no new building permits for the erection of buildings or any structures in Zoning District C-1A, and a.ll Village employees and officials are hereby prohibited from permit-ling the erection of any building or structure in Zoning District C-lA for which a building permit has not been issued for a period of 90 days from date. Section 2. The .Planning and Zoning Board of North Palm Beach is hereby directed to make a. comprehensive study of the locations a.nd permitted uses concerned • with Zoning District C-lA, a.s they pertain to a. comprehensive zoning plan for the Village of North Pa m Beach, and to make written recommendations to the Village Council on or before 60 days from the date hereof, setting forth in detail their findings and recommendations.
