07-09-1981 VC WS-MMINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP SESSION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA HELD THURSDAY, JULY 9, 1981 1 1 1 Present: V. A. Marks, M.D., Mayor Tom Valente, Vice Mayor William H. Brown, President Pro Tem Al Moore, Councilman Harriet Nolan, Councilwoman Raymond Howland, Village Manager Herbert Gildan, Village Attorney Dolores R. Walker, Village Clerk Mayor Marks called the Workshop Session to order at 8:32 p.m. All members of the Council and staff were present. A discussion was held concerning the dining room and lounge operation by Danner Associates at the North Palm Beach Country Club. It was the consensus of the Council for Steve Sandusky (Country Club Director), Mr. Danner and the Country Club Advisory Board to meet together and then come back before the Council with their proposed recommendations. A discussion was held concerning review of the Delacorte Community Center plans and specifications The Council agreed to wait until the bids come in and see how much over the $600,000 they might be. A discussion was held concerning plans for the new golf course irrigation system. It was the consensus of the Council to go with the split system. ROLL CALL NPBCC DINING ROOM & LOUNGE OPERATION DELACORTE COMMUNITY CENTER NPBCC GOLF COURSE IRRIGATION SYSTEM A discussion was held concerning the contract between PBA CONTRACT the Village of North Palm Beach and the Palm Beach County Benevolent Association. This item will be placed on the Regular agenda of 7-23-81. A discussion was held concerning placing an adver- tisement in the Special Convention issue of the Florida Municipal Record. It was the consensus of the Council to place the advertisement and charge it to Council Contingency Account. The amount of the charge will be $103. ADVERTISEMENT - FLORIDA MUi~ICIPAL RECORD A discussion was held concerning NPBCC Clubhouse air IdPBCC CLUBHOUSE conditioning, fire sprinklers, etc. The Council AIR CONDITIONING, authorized the Village Manager to go out for bid on FIRE SPRItdKLERS this item. A discussion was held concerning the traffic problem TRAFFIC PROBLEM at Osborne Park. It was agreed that Attorney Herbert OSBORNE PARK Gildan would prepare a resolution closing Osborne Park until 1:00 p.m., Sunday only, to help alleviate the noise and traffic situation.
