Ordinance 160 Removing Addtl Fees for Voided Permits ORDINANCE NO. 160-67 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING ORDaIANCE ' N0. 132-1966, WHICH ADOPTED BY REFERENCE THE SOUTHERN STANDARD BUILDING CODE AND THE REVISION OF THE SOUTHERN. STANDARD BUILDING CODE ADDENDUM, 1965-1966, AND A PLUMBING AND ELECTRICAL CODE, BY REMOVING ADDITIONAL FEES FOR NEW PERMITS ISSUED AFTER VOIDING OF PREVIOUS PERMITS AND SETTING FORTH AN EFFECTIVE DATE FOR THIS ORDINANCE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM. BEACH, FLORIDA: - u Section 1. Section 1 of Ordinance No. 132-1966 be, and the same is hereby, amended by amending Section 106.3 (b) of the Southern Standard Building Code Addendum of 1965-1966 recoaQnended by the 17oint Cooperative Council of Palm Beach County, _- Florida., as adopted by Section 1 of Ordinance No. 132-1966, as fdllows: "106.3 (b) - Before work, for which the permit has, for any reason, become void, ma.y be subsequently z commenced or recommenced, a new permit shall first __ be obtained. This new permit may be obtained _ provided the proposed work conforms with all _" requirements, ordinances, rules and regulations - effeetive a.t the time of such renewal. There shall _ be no new permit fee required for a new permit obtained a.s a. result of the voiding of an original permit unless _ a refund has been made of a portion of the permit fee a.t the time that the original permit is voided. In the event of a. refund, the amount of the money refunded shall a.ga,in be paid to the Village before a new permit may be issued." _ Section 2, The provisions of this Ordinance shall become effective a,s of August 1, 1967, and a.ny monies paid for new permits issued after original permits were voided shall be reimbursed by the Village Treasurer to the person who paid it on any date subsequent to August 1, 1967.
