Mayor Marks called the Workshop Session to order at ROLL CALL
9:16 p.m. All members of the Council and staff were
present except the Village Clerk, who was on vacation.
A discussion was held on Bill No. 377, a proposed DISCUSSION ON
ordinance amending our previous "Landscape Ordinance" BILL 377
(Ordinance No. 14-71). The Council instructed the
Village Manager to obtain an explanation of the changes
proposed in Sections 9 and 10 of Bill No. 377, inform
them of the reasons for the changes, and place this
bill on the Regular Session Agenda of January 8. 1981.
A discussion was held concerning awarding a bid for DISCUSSION ON
a 12 Watt APCOR Portable Radio (Telemetry Radio APCOR PORTABLE
' System) to Motorola Communications & Electronics, RADIO
Inc. This item will appear on the Regular Session
Agenda of January 8, 1981.
Item 6(a), Pension Plans, under "New Business" was
not discussed since this item teas placed on the
Regular Session Agenda after the conversation con-
cerning the Aetna Pension Plan for the Village at
the Workshop Session of Tuesday, December 9, 1980.
Council discussed the proposed contract between
the Palm Beach County Police Benevolent Association
and the Village's Public Safety Department. After
a lengthy discussion, Councilman Brown asked for,
and received, a consensus of the Council .to give the
Village Manager the alternative to use one of the
following:
1. Change the conversion time of termination
from 25% to 50% -- in other words, two
for one; or
2. Reinclude the paragraph after the table
on page 5 of. the contract.
' There being no further business to come before
the Council, the meeting was adjourned at 9:47 p.m.
