Mayor Brown called the Workshop Session to order at ROLL CALL
8;30 p.m. All members of the Council were present.
After a brief discussion, it was the consensus of the REPAIR BILL
Council to place the bill for emergency repair to the PLACED ON
garbage packer by Rowland Truck Equipment Company on REGULAR SESSION
the August 23, 1979 Regular Session Agenda for AGENDA
approval of payment. The amount of repairs is
$3,922.94 and is to be expended from account
33-534-46.10.
The Council agreed to spend $250 for insurance study $250 FOR
information concerning the Village's participation INSURANCE STUDY
in the Florida Intergovernmental Risk Management RE: FIRMA
Association (FIRMA).
It was the agreement of the Council that the ANNEXATION
Village Manager should check out the undeveloped POSSIBILITIES
areas, north of the Village, east of Prosperity Farms
Road for annexation possibilities. The Council
instructed the Manager to draft a letter to the
residents living in these areas which would state
the positive aspects of annexing to the Village. The
letter is to be brought back to Council at a future
time. The Council also instructed the Village
Manager to find out what services were already
provided to residents by various municipalities and
the County.
After a brief discussion, the Council requested the ORDINANCE RE:
Village Attorney to draft an ordinance similar to WETLANDS AND
the ordinance adopted by Riviera Beach regarding MANGROVES
the preservation of wetlands and mangroves for
the August 23rd Regular Session.
There being no further business to come before the ADJOURNMENT
Council, the meeting was adjourned at 10;15 p.m.
