AN ORDINANCE OF TBE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH AMENDING ORDINANCES N0. 91 AND 110
CONCERNING THE BOARD OF GOVERNORS OF NORTH PALM BEACH COUNTRY CLUB BY INCREASING THE NUMBER
OF MEMBERS Ta SEVEN, SETTING FORTH TIMES AND DATES FOR HOARD MEETINGS AND MEMBER MEETINGS,
FISCAL CONTROL TO THE PILLAGE TREASURERS OFFICE, REGULATING THE EMPLOYMENT OF
THE COUNTRY CLUB MANAGER, AND PROVIDING FOR BOARD MEMBERS TO SERVE AT THE PLEASIIRE OF THE
VILLAGE COUNCIL.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COIINCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA.
Section 1. Section 2(B) of Ordinance No. 91 be, and the same is hereby amended
by changing the composition_of the Board from five (5) members to henceforth have a Board
of Governors to be composed of sevea (7) members.
Section 2. Section 2(C) of Ordinance No. 91 be, and the same is hereby amended
by changing the reference to five (5) members therein to seven (7) members and by changing
the expiration dates of two (2} members in even numbered years to refer to four (4} members
terms expiring in the even numbered years.
Sec ion Section 7 of Ordinance Nc. 91, as amended by Section 1 of Ordinance

No. 110 be, and the same is hereby further amended as follows:
(a) Notwithstanding any language contained in Ordinance No. 91
or 110 to the contrary, The Board of Governors shall not
employ or discharge the Country Club Manager without such
employment or discharge being approved by the Village Council
by resolution duly passed.
(b} The Country Club Manager shall make his reports directly to
the Chairman of the Board of Governors and not to the entire
Board of Governors.
(c) All fiscal control concerning the North Palm Beach Country Club
shall be handled through the office o£ the Village Treasurer and
all contracts for the purchase of goods, materials, supplies and
equipment shall be let b3' the Village Council as other contracts
and purchases of the Village are handled. All checks, vouchers
and payment of expenses shall be paid through the office of the
Village Treasurer as alI other expenses are handled by the Village
and sll income from the operatiott of the North Palm Beach Country
Club shall be handled through the office of the Village Treasurer.
All fiscal records concerned with the operation of the North Palm
Beach Country Club shall be kept by the office of the Village
Treasurer. The transfer of fiscal control from the North Palm
Beach Country Club to the office of the Village Treasurer shall
take effect as of November 1, 19b7.

Section 4. Ordinance No. 91 be, and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto
Section 11 to read as follows:
The North Palm Beach Board of Governors shall hold at least
one (1) business meeting per month to be determined by vote
of the Board, which meeting shall take place during evening
hours, except in the event i;hat an emergency exists necessi-
tating that a meeting be held during normal business hours.
The North Palm Beach Country Club Board of Governors shall
further arrange for a meeting of all the members of the North
Palm Beach Country Club to be held on the First Wednesday in
February and the first Wednesday in August of each year for
the purpose of advising the members on the operation o£ the
North Palm Beach Country Club and to ascertain the opinions
of the members concerning the operation of said Country Club,
Section 5. Section 2 of Ordinance 110 is hereby amended by adding thereto that
notwithstanding any language to the contrary, the members of the Board of Governors shall
serve at the pleasure of the Village Council.
Section 6. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance
