AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 46,
PROVIDING FOR A CONTRACTORS EXAMINING BOARD BY INCREASING THE NUMBER OF MEMBERS OF SAID HOARD
TO FIVE (5); SPECIFYING THAT ONE MEMBER SHALL BE AN ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR, ONE MEMBER SHALL BE
A PLUMBING CONTRACTOR; SETTING FORTH REQIIIREMENTS FOR PLUMBING CONTRACTOR EXAMINATIONS AND
ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR EXAMINATIONS, AND
A QIIORUM FOR THE BOARD.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAG3~ COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Section S(a}(1}oi' Ordinance No. 46, be and the same is hereby amended

to read as Follows:
S(a)(1) There shall be a board of examiners consisting of five(5) members
appointed by the Village Couneil. Two of the members shall be appointed for
a term of three years; two of the members for a term of two years; and one of
said members for a term of one year. Thereafter the term of office of each
member of said Board shaill be three years. One member of the Board shall be
a general contractor; one member a plumbing contractor; one member an elec-
trical contractor; one member an architect; and one member (secretary) an
official of the Building ar Engineering Department of the Village of North
Palm Beach.
Section 2, Section 8(b)(4) of Ordinance No. 46 be, and the same is hereby amended to

read as follows:
S(b)(4) Three members of the Board shall constitute a quorum at any meetings,
and a majority vote of those present shall be required to enable the Board to act.
Where a matter before the Board is concerned with the qualifications of an Elec-
trical Contractor, it shall be necessary that that member o£ the Board who is
an Electrical Contractor be present and participate in the meeting in order to
enable the Board to act on Electrical Contractor. Where a matter before the Board
3s concerned with the gLtali£ications of a Plumbing Contractor, it shall be neces-
eery that that member of the Board who is a Plumbing Contractor, be present and
participate in the meeting in order to enable the Board to act on Plumbing Con-
tractor. For all matters not concerned either with electrical contractors or
with plumbing contractors it shall be necessary that at least two members of the
Board who constitute the. quorum ahall be from those members of the Board who are
the General Contractor, Architect or official of the Building or Engineering
Department of the Village of North Palm Beach.
