• A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, ACKNOWLEDGING RECEIPT OF THE
PROSPERITY FARMS ROAD CORRIDOR STUDY AND RECOGNIZING ITS
FUTURE USE AS A PLANNING DOCUMENT; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, in response to an application for a change in zoning and land use for property
located on Prosperity Farms Road, the Village commissioned a study of the entire Prosperity
Farms Road corridor to assist the Village in defining the current character and determining future
development and redevelopment opportunities; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council has reviewed the Prosperity Farms Road Corridor Study dated
October 2009 prepared by Land Research Management, Inc. and conducted workshop meetings
on each segment of the corridor; and
WHEREAS, while the Village Council does not wish to initiate any changes to the land use
classifications and zoning designations currently in place along the Prosperity Farms Road
corridor, it does wish to formally acknowledge receipt of the Study and recognize its future use
by the Planning Commission and Village Council as a planning document.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council ofthe Village ofNorth Palm Beach, Florida, hereby formally
acknowledges receipt of the Prosperity Farms Road Corridor Study and recognizes its future use
by the Planning Commission and Village Council as a planning document to consider in
conjunction with future applications for changes in zoning and land use for properties located
along Prosperity Farms Road.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
