AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM
BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 45-16, DIVISION OF VILLAGE INTO DISTRICTS;
DISTRICTS ENUMERATED, OF ARTICLE II OF APPENDIX C-ZONING OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF THE VILLAGE BY ADDING A NEW DISTRICT KNOWN AS THE
NORTHLAKE BOULEVARD OVERLAY ZONING DISTRICT (NBOZ); PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The Village Council of the Village of North Palm Beach, Florida, does hereby amend
Section 45-16, Division of village into districts; districts enumerated, of Article II of Appendix C-
Zoning of the Code of Ordinances of the Village by adding a new district known as the Northlake
Boulevard Overlay Zoning District (NBOZ), and to read as follows:
"Section 45-16. Division of village into districts; districts enumerated.
In order to classify, regulate and restrict the uses of land and buildings, the height and
bulk of buildings, the amount of open spaces about buildings, intensity of land use, the Village
of North Palm Beach, Florida, is divided into thirteen (I3) zoning districts, as follows:
R-1 Single-family dwelling district
R-2 Multiple-family dwelling district
R-3 Apartment dwelling district
C-A Commercial district
C-1 A Limited commercial district
CB Commercial district
C-I Neighborhood commercial district
C-2 Automotive commercial district
C-3 Regional business district
P Public district
C-OS Conservation and open space
CC Transitional commercial district
NBOZ Northlake Boulevard Overlay Zoning district
In the creation of this ordinance of the respective districts, the village council has given
due and careful consideration to the peculiar suitability of each district for the particular uses
and regulations applied thereto and to the densities of population, all in accordance with the
comprehensive development plan of the village."
Section 2. If any section, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase or word of this Ordinance is for
any reason held by a Court to be unconstitutional, inoperative or void, such holding shall not affect
the remainder of this Ordinance.
Section 3. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon passage.
