AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM
BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 104.6.6, SCHEDULE OF PERMIT' FEES. OF
THE 2001 EDITION OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE AS AMENDED AND ADOPTED
BY SECTION 6-17 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE VILLAGE, WHICH
AMENDMENT INCREASES PERMIT FEF,S AND IS FULLY SET FORTH AND ATTACHED
TO THIS ORDINANCE AS EXHIBIT "A"; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING
FOR THE REPEAL OF ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH; AND, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Section 104.6.6, Schedule of Permit Fees, of the 2001 Edition of the Florida
Building Code adopted by Section 6-17 of the Code of Ordinances of the Village is hereby
amended, which amendment increases building permit fees and is fully set forth and attached to
this ordinance as Exhibit "A".
Section 2. If any section, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase or word of this Ordinance is for
any reason held by a Court to be unconstitutional, inoperative or void, such holding shall not
affect the remainder of this Ordinance.
Section 3. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect October 1, 2003.

104.6.6 SCHEDULE OF PERMIT FEES. On all buildings, structures, electrical, plumbing,
mechanical and gas systems or alterations requiring a permit, a fee for each permit shall be paid
as required at the time of filing application, in accordance with the following schedule:
3.85% $0.00 to $10,000.01 plus
1.93% $10,000.01 to $100,000.01 plus
0.99% $100,000.01 to $500,000.01 plus
0.33% $500,000.01 to $1,000,000.01 plus
0.165% $1,000,000.01 to and up or fraction thereof
The permit fee shall not be less than $30.00 for water heater replacement, front door change out,
fence replacement or repair, and minor structural repairs with a value of less than $500.00. All
other permit fees shall not be less than $60.00.
