A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
PURCHASE OF TWENTY-THREE SETS OF SPERIAN TURNOUT GEAR
FROM SAFETY SOLUTIONS, INC. UTILIZING THE PRICING ESTABLISHED
IN SCHEDULE 84 OF THE GOVERNMENTAL SERVICE ASSOCIATION'S
COOPERATIVE PURCHASING PROGRAM; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Village was awarded a FEMA Assistance to Firefighters Grant for the purchase
of personal protective gear; and
WHEREAS, through the adoption of Resolution No. 2010-15, the Village Council accepted the
grant and authorized the allocation of matching funds; and
WHEREAS, the Village's Public Safety Department seeks to purchase twenty-three sets of
Sperian Turnout Gear (Coats and Pants) utilizing pricing established in Schedule 84 of the
Government Service Association's (GSA) Cooperative Purchasing Program; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby approves the purchase oftwenty-three sets of Sperian
Turnout Gear (Coats and Pants) from Safety Solutions, Inc. of Boynton Beach by piggybacking
the pricing established in Schedule 84 of the GSA's Cooperative Purchasing Program (Contract
No. GS-07F-9466S). The total amount expended for this purchase shall not exceed $34,880.65, with
funds expended from Village Account No. 55812-66490 (Grant Expense -Machinery & Equipment).
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
