BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, that:
Section 1. In accordance with Chapter 175.101, Florida Statutes, the Pillage of
North Palm Beach does hereby assess and impose on every insurance company, corporation or other
insurer now engaged in or carrying on, or who shall hereafter engage in or carry on the business
o£ property insurance as shown by the records of the State Treasurer in his capacity as State
Insurance Commissioner, an excise or license tax in addition to any lawful license or excise
tax now levied by theVillage of North Palm Beach amount to ONE (1) PER CENT of the gross
amount of receipts of premiums from policyholders on all premiums collected on pooperty
insurance pollcies covering property within the corporate limits of the Village of North Palm
Beach.
Section 2. An emergency exists requiring the passage of this Ordinance on one night
in that the excise tax must be assessed and imposed prior to March 1 of each year and there
shall be no additional regular meeting of the Village of North Palm Beach between tonight and
the first of March.
