Ordinance 113 Platting of Subdivisions - Street LightingORDINANCE N0. 1 AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE REQUIREMENTS FOR PLATTING OF SUBDIVISIONS IPt TBE VILLAGE; AND SETTING FORTH REQUIREMENTS FOR STREET LIGHTING OF ALL LANDS HEREINAFTER PLATTED WITHIN THE VILLAGE, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH FLORIDA: The regulations for the platting of land and development of subdivisions within the territorial limits of the Village as set forth in Ordinance No. 25 0£ said Village, as supplemented and amended to date, are hereby further amended by the addition to said 0 Ordinance No. 25 of a new Section, to be knoim as Section 16, and which said Section shall read as follows: "Section 16. Street Liehtina of all Lands Platted Within the Villase. Every plat of lands within the Village shall provide for the installation of mercury vapor lamps of at least 7,000 lumens, installed on prestressed concrete poles similar in construction and appearance to the existing concrete light poles presently located in the Village, and in accordance with the specifications hereinafter set forth: Licht Poles 1. Precast, prestressed concrete poles. 2. Tinted light green; to be done by manufacturer at time of pouring. Painting not acceptable. 3. Class 1 or Type I style of pole. Square with minimum dimensions of S.9 inches x S.9 inches at base and 4 inches x four inches at top. Minimum breaking strength 1200 Ibs. Hollow core with borings to handle side mounted lamp and bracket and underground lead. Fixture. Globe. Lamp and Photo Control 1. Globe and fixture to be Star-Lux Luminaires, Series 2330, side mounting, or equal, as approved by the Building Official. 14 inch refractor and aluminum reflector, with globe. Automatic Latch type A.S.A.-I.E.S. Type light distribution of globe, to be determined by the location of the light'. pole. Receptacle for photo cell on top. Before any plat is accepted by the Village, in accordance with this Ordinance, the subdivider shall provide poles and 13ghts to the specifications set forth above, together with photo control unit, all necessary ballast, '7,000 lumen mercury vapor lamp, color corrected 6 foot mounting brackets or mast arms made of aluminum, 2-inch pipe size. All Fixtures and arms are to be aluminum; only galvanized hardware is to be used; electrical work is to be per- formed in accordance with all Village Ordinances and subject to inspection. ORDINANCE N0. 113-65 Page -2- Underground leads to the pole shall be used, together with all necessary accessories to put the light in operation. The plat shall also show on its face the location of the underground electrical ditribution system along with the easements for such, the dedication of this under- ground distribution aystem amd easements to tiie Village by proper dedicatian clause. III. The street lights specified above shall be located at every intersection ' withsn the newly platted area, with the ,.exact corner to be as determined by the Village . Building Official and street lights to be placed at the end of every cvl-de-sac. There shall be no more than 300 feet between light standards on any single street. These requirements shall apply to all streets, alleys and service drives. The location of all light fixtures • must be shown on the plat plan at time of submittal and must be erected in accordance with this Ordinance prior to final acceptance by the Village.
