AN ORDINANCE OF THE PILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, REPEALING ORDINANCE N0, 64
AND AMENDING SECTIONS 22 and 23 OF ORDINANCE N0, 7, AS AMENDED, BY REGIILATING THE HOURS OF
' SALE, SERVICE AND CONSDMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES,

WHEREAS, a majority of the establishments serving intoxicating liquors or beverages,
' excepting beer, ale and wine, within the Village of North Palm Beach are located on North-
Lake Boulevard within said Pillage; and
WHEREAS, said Northlake Boulevard is presently being four-laved and by virtue of th$s
four-laving, the road in forn of thes~a establishments has been obstructed and has caused
• severe financial loss to these intoxicating liquor or beverage dispensing establishments; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council considers this an emergency situation confronting the
owners and operators of such establishments during the period of construction of the four-
laving of Northlake Boulevard, which ;said construction should last approximately one year
from date,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINE7J BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1, Ordinance No. 64 of the Village of North Palm Beach be, and the same
is hereby, repealed.
Section 2. Sections 22 and ;?3 of Ordinance No. 7 of the Village of North Palm Beaish,
Florida, encated on January 28, 1957, as amended, are hereby amended to read as fol~.ows:
Section 22. Hours of Sale
For a period of one year from the date of passage of this Ordinance
it shall be unlawful for any person to sell, serve or consume, or
to permit the sale, service or consumption o£ any intoxicating
liquors or bevefages except beer, ale and wine in any place holding
a license from the Village under this Ordinance, or in any public
place within the Village, and it shall be unlawful for any person
to boy, sell or deliver, or to permit the purchase, sale or delivery
of any intoxicating liquors or. beverages except beer, ale and wine
in sealed containers for consumption off the premises:
(a) Between the hours o£ 5:00 occlock s.m. and
7:00 occlock a.m, of any day; or
(b) Between the hours of 5:00 occlock a.m. and
12:00 occlock noon on Sundays; or
(c) On any day of a general or primary election
during the hours the polls are open.
Section 23. Boors of Sale
Beginning one year from the date of passage of this Ordinance it
shall be unlawful for any person to sell, serve or consume, or to
permit the sale, service or consumption of any intoxicating liquors
or beverages except beer, ale and wine in any place holding a
license from the Village under this Ordinance, or in any public
place within the Village, and it shall be unlawful for any person
to buy, sell or deliver, or to permit the purchase, sale or
delivery of any intoxicating liquors or beverages except beer,
' ale and wine in sealed containers for consumption off the premises:
(a) Between the hours of 3:00 occlock a.m. and
7:00 occlock a.m. of any day; or
(b) Between the hours of 3:00 occlock a,m. and
12:00 occlock noon on; Sundays; or
(c) On any day of a general or primary election
during the hours the polls are open.

Section 3. Ordinance No. 7 of the Village of North Palm Beach, Florida, is further
amended by adding thereto a Section 25, to read as follows:
Section 25. Hours of Sale on New Year+s Eve
It shall be unlawful for any person to sell, serve or consume or to
permit the sale, service or consumption of any intoxicating liquors
or beverages except beer, ale and wine in any place holding a
license from the Village under this Ordinance, or in any public
place within the Village, and it shall be unlawful £or any person
to buy, sell or deliver, or to permit the purchase, sale or
delivery of any intoxicating liquors or beverages except beer,
ale and wine in sealed containers for consumption off the
premises between the hours of 5:00 oTelock a.m. and 7:00 oTClock
a.m, on January lst of each and every year.
Section 4. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith be and the
