2010-16 Accepting Results of the General ElectionRESOLUTION 2010-16
• A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH
PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING AND DECLARING THE RESULTS OF
THE MARCH 9, 2010 GENERAL ELECTION; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on March 9, 2010, the Village of North Palm Beach held a general election in accordance
with all applicable Village and state law requirements for the purpose of electing Councilmen to the
Village Council for Groups 1, 3 and 5; and
WHEREAS, two candidates qualified for Group 1 during the time required for the filing of a Notice of
Candidacy and the names of those candidates were placed on the ballot and submitted to the electorate; and
WHEREAS, because only one candidate qualified for Group 3, and only one candidate qualified for Group 5,
these offices were not placed on the ballot and in accordance with the provisions of the Village Charter and
the Florida Election Code, these candidates were deemed to have voted for themselves; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council wishes to officially accept and. declare the results of the March 9, 2010
general election.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, as follows:
Section 1. The Village Council accepts that the following are the results of the General Election
for March 9, 2010:
For Village Councilman, Group 1:
Bob Gebbia 1,095
Bill B. Norton 481
For Village Councilman, Group 3:
Darryl C. Aubrey unopposed
For Village Councilman, Group 5:
Bill Manuel unopposed
Section 2. Based on the foregoing results, the Village Council hereby declares that the following
candidates are elected as Councilmen for Groups 1, 3 and 5:
For Village Councilman, Group l:
Bob Gebbia
For Village Councilman, Group 3:
• Darryl C. Aubrey
For Village Councilman, Group 5:
Bill Manuel
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
