2004-17 Alarm Permit Renewals - Late FeesORDINANCE 17-2004 • AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 19-211, ISSUANCE OF ALARM SYSTEM PERMIT, OF ARTICLE X, ALARMS, OF CHAPTER 19 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE VILLAGE TO PROVIDE FOR A LATE FEE BEING ASSESSED IF THE ALARM RENEWAL APPLICATION IS NOT MADE AND RENEWAL FEE NOT PAID BY THE DUE DATE; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: Section 1. Section 19-211, Issuance of Alarm System Permit, of Article X, Alarms, of Chapter 19 of the Code of Ordinances of the Village is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 19-211. Issuance of alarm system permit. An alarm system permit shall be issued to the alarm user by the Director of Public Safety within thirty (30) days after receipt of the completed application by the Director of Public Safety. An alarm system permit shall be denied if: (1) The requested information is not supplied on the application. (2) Material information on the application is incorrect. (3) Any person or entity listed on the application under items (a)(6), (7), (8) of Section 19-209 does not possess any required occupational or regulatory. license to conduct activities required by items (a)(6), (7), (8), unless the person or entity is the alarm user. The Department of Public Safety shall give notice of the permit expiration date and need for renewal, with a due date specified in said notice. Application for renewal will require atwenty-five ($25.00) dollar permit renewal fee and updated information required in section 19-209, items (a)(1) through (9). Failure to return the renewal application and renewal fee by the due date specified in the notice shall result in a twenty-five ($25.00) late fee being assessed." Section 2. If any section, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase or word of this Ordinance is for any reason held by a Court to be unconstitutional, inoperative or void, such holding shall not • affect the remainder of this Ordinance. Section 3. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. • Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon passage.
