2004-02 Allows Dogs in Park Areas Set Aside as Dog Park
ORDINANCE 02-2004
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM
BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 4-27(b) OF ARTICLE II, DOGS AND CATS,
OF CHAPTER 4, ANIMALS AND FOWL, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE
VILLAGE TO PROVIDE FOR AND ALLOW DOGS IN THOSE PORTIONS OF PUBLIC
PARKS THAT HAVE BEEN SET ASIDE BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL FOR EXCLUSIVE
USAGE AS A DOG PARK; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR THE
REPEAL OF ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH; AND, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section I . Section 4-27(b) of Article II, Dogs and Cats, of Chapter 4, Animals and Fowl, of
the Code of Ordinances of the Village, is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 4-27. Prohibited in certain areas; exceptions.
(b) No person, being the owner of any dog or cat, shall permit the same to be in any
public park of the village unless the village council has set aside a portion or
portions of public parks for exclusive usage as a dog park."

Section 2. If any section, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase or word of this Ordinance is for
any reason held by a Court to be unconstitutional, inoperative or void, such holding shall not
affect the remainder of this Ordinance.
Section 3. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon passage.
