Ordinance 099 Signatures & Countersignatures - CClubORDINANCE NO,~- 1964 AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING ORDINANCE 0 No. 91, SAID ORDDNANCE CREATING THE NORTH PALM BEACH COIINTRY CLIIB BOARD OF GOVERNORS, BY CHANGING THE MANNER OF PAYMENT OF COUNTRY CLUB ESPENSES AND PROVIDING FOR SZGNATIIRES AND CODNTERSIGNATURES OF CHECKS, WHEREAS, the Village Council, Section 7, of Ordinance No. 91, creating a Board of Governors for the North Palm Beach Country Club, has provided that the expenses of the Country Club shall be paid by check to k;e signed by the Board of Governors} Treasurer, or Country Club Manager, or other designated member of the Board, and further providing that all such checks, warrants and vouchers must be countersigned by the Village Treasurer; and WHEREAS, the Village Council has determined that a more orderly procedure would be far the expenses of the Country Club„ in amounts less than X500.00 to be paid by check, signed by either the Country Club Board of Governors' Treasurer, or Country Club Manager, and countersigned by a member of the Board, while all checks in excess of X500.00 may be signed by the Board of Governors Treasuuer, Country Club Manager, or other designated member of the Board, and must be countersigned by the Village Treasurer. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COIINCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, ~'IARIDA, ~. as follows: Section 1. The following sentence in Section 7, Paragraph 2, o£ Ordinance No. 91, be and it hereby repealed, to-wit: ~~The Board of Governors Treasurer, Country Club Manager, or other designated member of the Board may sign checks for the payment of expense of the Country Glub, provided that all such checks, warrants and vouchers must be counter- signed by the Village Treasurer." Section 2. Section 7, of Ordinance No. 91, be amended by providing the following i~ u L • sentence at the end thereof, to-wit: ~~The Board of Governors Treasurer or Country Club Manager may sign checks £or the payment of expense of the Country Club in any amount less than X500.00 for any single expense provided that all such checks, warrants and vouchers must be countersigned by a member of the Board o£ Governors; and provided further than any expenses in excess of X500.00 shall be paid by check to be signed by the Board of Governors Treasurer, Country Club Manager, or other designated member of the Boarii, and said check must be countersigned by the Village Treasurer.^ FIRST READING tlia 23rd day of Tune, A.D,, 1964 SECOND, FINAL READING AND PASSAGE THE 14th day of July A.D,, 1964 (SEAL) ATTEST MAYOR
