Ordinance 089 Amendment to Ord. #20ORDINANCE NO„ • AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 20 AS HERETOFORE AMENDED, THE SAME BEING 7'HE COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE OF SAID VILLAGE, .BY REMOVING CERTAIN PROPERTY_FROM THE R-1, SINGLE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT, AND RECLASSIFYING SAID PROPERTY A3 R-2, MULTIPLE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT; BY IIIREGTING THE. VILLAGE CLERg TO BRING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP UP TO DATE; BY PROVIDING FOR TBE REPEAL OF .ORDINANCES. IN CON- FLICT HEREWITH; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES„ ~ ~ ~ # ~ ~ ~ WHEREAS, the Village Council, pursuant to authority vested in it under Section ll, of Ordinance No. 20, the same being thf;eomprehensive zoning ordinance of said Vi].1age, has deemd it advisable and necessary to amend said zoning ordinance in .certain respects; and. WHEREAS, a public hearing re:Eating to said proposed amendment was duly held pur- scant to publication o£ the date and purpose of said hearing as prescribed by law; and WHEREAS, the Village Council has determined it .will be to the best interest of. public welfare, safety and morals to amend Ordinance No. 20 in the manner discussed and pro- posed at said hearing; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF TAE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, as follows: Section 1. That Ordinance 1Vo. 20 entitled ~~g.COMPREHEN$IVE ORDINANCE REGULATING THE USES OF LAND, WATER, BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES WITHIN THE :TILLAGE OF NORTB PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, FOR TRADE, INDUSTRY, RESIDENCE OR OTHER PURPOSES; REGULATING THE.LOGATION, HEIGHT, SIZE OF BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES, THE SIZE OF YARDS AND .OTHER OPEN SPACES, TAE DENSITY AND DISTRIBUTION OF POPULATION AND FOR SAID PURPOSES, CREATING SI% (6) DISTRICTS AND ESTABLISH- ING THE BOUNDARIES THEPEOF AND ADOPTING A MAP OF SAID DISTRICTS; DEFINING CERTAIN TERMS USED; ESTABLISHIPIG A BOARD OF ADJIISTMENT AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION OF ITS PRO- VISIONS~~, as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended in the following respects, to wit: The following described property is hereby removed from the zoning classification R-1 Single Family Dwelling District: Lots 36 and 37, Block ~0, Plat No.6, Village of North Palm Beach, Florida, accord- • ing to the plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 26, page 12, Public Records of Palm Beach County, Florida. Said land shall henceforth be classified R-2 Multiple Family Dwelling District. Section 2. That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to reflect upon the official zoning map, by hatching or other appropriate means of designa- tion, the changes in zoning classification effected under this amending ordinance. Section 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed. ;; 9 Section 4, That this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and approval as provided by law. -- FIRST READING the 11th day o£ February, 196¢ SECOND, FINAL READING AND PASSAGE the 10th day of March 1964.
