Ordinance 088 Clearing of LandORDINANCE NO. 88 AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR THE CLEARING AND GLEANING OF ALL BRUSH, WEEDS, DEAD AND DYING TREES, STUMPS, ' ROOTS, OBNOXIOUS GROWTH, PALMETTO, FILTH, GARBAGE, TRASH OR DEBRIS FROM ALL IMPROVED OR UNIMPROVED PROPERTY LYING WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: PROVIDING THE MANNER IN WHICH SAID WORK SHALL BE COMPLETED, AND PROVIDING THAT THE VILLAGE SHALL PAY FOR SETH WORK AND ' CHARGE THE COST OF THE SAME TO THE PROPERTY AFFECTED THEREBY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM • BEACH, FLORIDA, as follows: Section 1. That it is hereby found and declared to be expedient to tha preservation of the public welfare, health and beautification of the Village of North Palm Beach, Florida, that all improved and unimproved land within the Village be cleaned and cleared of al.l brush, weeds, palmetto, dead and dying trees, stumps, mats, obnoxious growth of any kind, filth, garbage and debris. Section 2. That all of said improved and unimproved property above described shall be cleared and the trash, debris and other foreign matter either be removed or otherwise disposed of, in order that the public health, safety and welfare of the SZillage and it's citizens may be assured. Section 3. That the Village Manager of the Village be and he is hereby authorized to proceed with said work under the supervision of the Village Council with all due speed. Section 4. That the Village Manager is further authorized, directed and empowered to publish the following notice, setting forth the adoption of this ordinance, in the Palm Beach Post once each week fox two (2) consecutive weeks and by posting a copy of said notice at the door of the Village Hall in • said Village, to wit. "TO ALL PERSONS, FIRMS, ASSOCIATIONS OR CORPORATIONS OWNING PROPERTY WITHIN THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: "Notice is hereby given that at a regular session of the Village Council of the Village of North Palm Beach, Florida, an ordinance was adopted directing the Village Manager to clear or cause to be cleared all improved and unimproved property within the Village, by removing therefrom all brush, weeds, palmetto, dead or dying trees, stumps, roots, obnoxious growth, filth, garbage, trash or debris. Such ' clearing shall be done under the supervision of the Village Council and in such manner as to comply with the ordinances of the Village pertaining thereto. . "Dated this. day of 1964. Village Clerk ' PUBLISH: Palm Beach POST" The Village Manager is also authorized to disseminate copies a£ said notice to residents and taxpayers of the Village in any other v~tay possible. Section 5. That upon the completion o£ said work the Village shall xa-ay the expenses of the same out of ahy funds of the Village available for said ' purpose and the Village Couhcil shall assess for all o£ said work, or such part or portion thereof as it may determine, upon the property benefited by the improvement and shall have a lien therefor against each anal every parcel of land so benefited. • FIRST READING THE 11th day of Februarv, 1964.
