A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH
• PALM BEACH, FLORIDA DECLARING A 2008 DODGE DURANGO AS
SURPLUS PROPERTY AND AUTHORIZING ITS DISPOSAL; APPROVING
AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A 2010 DODGE RAM UTILITY
VEHICLE PURSUANT TO THE FLORIDA SHERIFF'S ASSOCIATION,
FLORIDA ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES AND FLORIDA FIRE CHIEFS'
ASSOCIATION BID SPECIFICATIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, a 2008 Dodge Durango purchased for use by the Public Works Department developed
a noise that could not be repaired by the dealership, and the dealership has agreed to buy back the
vehicle for the original purchase price of $19,730.00; and
WHEREAS, the Village Administration is seeking to purchase a 2010 Dodge Ram Utility Vehicle
at a total cost of $19,804.00 pursuant to the Florida Sheriffs Association, Florida Association of
Counties and Florida Fire Chiefs' Association Bid Award; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council r~eby declares the 2008 Dodge Durango (VIN No.1D8HD38K28F105597)
as surplus property and authorizes delivery of the vehicle and title to Maroone Dodge of Pembroke
Pines in exchange for reimbursement to the Village of the vehicle's original purchase price in the
amount of$19,730.
Section 3. The Village Council hereby approves the purchase of a 2010 Dodge Ram 2500
Utility Vehicle from Maroone Dodge of Pembroke Pines pursuant to Specification #45 of the
Florida Sheriffls Association, Florida Association of Counties and Florida Fire Chiefs' Association
Bid Award Announcement 09-17-0908 (Pursuit, Administrative Non-Pursuit, Utility Vehicles,
Trucks and Vans). The total amount expended for this vehicle shall not exceed $19,804.00, with funds
being expended from Village Account # A5519-66410 (Facility Services Automotive Capital Account}.
Section 4.
This resolution shall take eiTect immediately upon its adoption.
