Ordinance 074 Amendment to Ord. #20 - Off-Street Parking AreasORDINANCE N0. 74' AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA ' AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 20, AS AMENDED, BEING THE COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE: PRESCRIBING SPECIFICATIONS FOR CERTAIN OFF-STREET PARKING AREAS IN THE VILLAGE: AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. $E IT AND IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: Section 1. Anew sub-paragraph 10 be and the same is hereby added to Section 11 of Ordinance No. 20 of such Village, as amended, being the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance of such Village, which said sub-paragraph 10 shall read as followsz Whenever, by this ordinance, off-street parking is required in any Commercial District or in any R-3 Apartment Dwelling District, no such parking facilities shall be hereafter constructed until a permit therefor shall have been issued by the Building Official, and until the plans and specifications therefor are such that a Such off-street parking area is designed with appropriate means of vehicular access to a public street of alley. b Such off-street parking area is designed with appropriate vehicular maneuvering areas. c Such off-street parking area is paved with an asphaltic or concrete surfacing, or other material designed to prevent dust. d Such off=street parking area is so constructed, i graded and surfaced as to prevent surface water from draining fznto public rights-of-way, or on adjoining properties, the outlets for such surface waters to be connected directly or indirectly to storm-sewer conduits terminating in existing publicly controlled waterways or in other seepage areas ap- proved by the Building Official. e Such off-street parking areas shall be used for vehicular traffic only, with no sales, dead storage, repair work, dismantling or servicing of and kind unless expressly permitted by the coning of the District in question. f If lighting of such areas is to be provided, the plans therefor shall be such that such lighting shall reflect away from any public street and at such and angle as to prevent glare or undue illumination of residential properties in the neighborhood. Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect innediately and ' in addition to becoming part of the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance of the Village shall be deemed a Supplement to the Building Code of the Village PASSED AND ADOPTED on first reading this 5th day of June, 1962.
