' AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING
THE REQUIREMENTS FOR PLATTING OF SUBDIVISIONS IN THE VILLAGE AND FOR OTHER
FURPOSES. _

' BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM
BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Sub-paragraph (c) of Subsection (3) of Section 4. General
• Procedure for Filing Plats, as contained in Ordinance-No. 25 of such Village,
as amended by Ordinance No. 59 of such Village, be and the same is hereby
stricken and the following provisions inserted in lieu thereof:
(c) The developer shall enter into engineering and construction
contracts for completion of the work within a realistic time limit
specified by the Council, but not exceeding 18 months, and shall
cause a surety bond by the contractors named in such contracts running _
in favor of such developer and such Village to be delivered to the
Village, all as hereinafter prescribed in Section 11 (2).
Section 2. Subsection (2) Section 11 of Ordinance No. 25 of such
Village is hereby amended so that the same shall hereafter read as follows: __
' (2) Bond b Contractors Doin Work for the Develo er. In-lieu
of the bond arrangement mentioned in Subsection 1 of this Section 11,
and after the developer has entered into written contracts with a
registered engineer to perform all required engineering services in
connection with the construction, completion and acceptance of the
work, and after the developer shall have entered into written con-
tracts with a qualified contractor or contractors for the construction _
of the work within a period o£ 18 months or less, in full accordance - -
with the approved development plan and these regulations, the develop-
er may cause to be delivered a surety bond by the aforesaid contractor
or contractors in form satisfactory to the Village Attorney in the
full amount of his or their contracts binding the surety to the
developer and the Village both jointly and separately to complete tre
work in full accordance with the contract or contracts in case the
contractor or contractors default, and also containing provisions -
guaranteeing the payment of all labor and material in connection with _
such work. In any such case an executed copy of the complete engineering
• contract and an executed copy of the construction contract or contracts
shall be filed with the Village concurrently with the aforesaid bond.
Section 3. A11 ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and -
approval as provided by law.
