2010-02 Appointing Rep to Seacoast Utility Auth. Board RESOLUTION 2010-02
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, APPOINTING THE VILLAGE' S
REPRESENTATIVE TO THE GOVERNING BOARD OF THE SEACOAST
UTILITY AUTHORITY AND DIRECTING THE PAYMENT OF
COMPENSATION; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; AND PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, in accordance with paragraph 2(C) of the Interlocal Agreement establishing the
Seacoast Utility Authority ("SUA"), the Village Council appoints one member of the SUA
Governing Board to serve at the pleasure of the Council for a term of four years or until such time as
the member's replacement has been appointed; and
WHEREAS, the Village's current appointee, Don Noel, has resigned from the Governing Board
effective January 23, 2010, and the Village Council wishes to appoint a successor representative to
the SUA Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby appoints Village Manager Jimmy Knight as the
Village's representative on the SUA Governing Board effective January 23, 2010 to serve until
such time as he resigns or a replacement successor is appointed.
Section 3. All compensation designated by the SUA Governing Board for the Village's
representative shall be payable directly to the Village ofNorth Palm Beach
Section 4. All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this Resolution are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 5. This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption.
