2010-03 Declaring Surplus Sanitation Vehicles RESOLUTION 2010-03
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, DECLARING TWO PUBLIC WORKS
UTILITY VEHICLES AS SURPLUS PROPERTY AND AUTHORIZING
THEIR DISPOSAL; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Village's Public Works Department is in possession of two (2) 2003 four-wheel
Textron Cushman utility vehicles that had been utilized for the collection of garbage and refuse; and
WHEREAS, because these vehicles have served their useful life and are currently inoperable, the
Public Works Department has requested that these vehicles be declared as surplus property and
that all useable parts be removed and maintained for future fleet repair use; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council has the authority to dispose of surplus items of personal
property in any manner so long as it acts in good faith and in the best interests of the Village; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests of the Village and its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby declares the following utility vehicles as surplus
equipment and authorizes Village Administration to dispose of such property in accordance with
all applicable Village policies, including, but not limited to, the removal of all useable parts for
future fleet maintenance and repair:
Two (2) 2003 four-wheel Textron Cushman utility vehicles, serial numbers
898627TRKGMTKGA2133361 and 898627TRKGMTKGA2132812
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 14th DAY OF JANUARY, 2010.
