A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM
- BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE PRICES
AND TERMS AND EXECUTE LETTERS OF UNDERSTANDING WITH PALM BEACH
COUNTY GOLF COURSES FOR RECIPROCAL PLAY AT SUCH GOLF COURSES BY
NORTH PALM BEACH COUNTRY CLUB GOLF MEMBERS DURING EXTENDED
CLOSING OF THE NORTH PALM BEACH GOLF COURSE FOR COURSE
RENOVATION; AUTHORIZING PAYMENT ON BEHALF OF NORTH PALM BEACH
COUNTRY CLUB GOLF MEMBERS OF A SUBSIDY IN AN AMOUNT UP TO TEN
DOLLARS ($10.00) BASED UPON THE COST OF RECIPROCAL COURSE PLAY AT
PALM BEACH COUNTY GOLF COURSES; AND, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the Village Council is planning for possible golf course renovation during the calendar
year 2006 which would entail the closure of the North Palm Beach Golf Course for an extended
period of time; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council wants to make provision for North Palm Beach Country Club Golf
Members to have reciprocal play at other Palm Beach County golf courses during extensive closure
of the Village golf course for course renovation.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section I. The Village Council of the Village of North Palm Beach, Florida, does hereby
authorize the Village Manager to negotiate prices and terms and execute Letters of Understanding
with Palm Beach County golf courses for reciprocal play at such golf courses by North Palm Beach
Country Club Golf Members during extended closing of the Village course for course renovation.
Section 2. The Village Council does hereby authorize payment on behalf of North Palm Beach
Country Club Golf Members of a subsidy in an amount up to ten dollars ($10.00) based upon the
cost of reciprocal course play at Palm Beach County golf courses.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
