AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM
BEACH, FLORIDA, ADOPTING A Bt7ILDING CODE, A PLUMBING CODE AND AN ELECTRICAL CODE;
PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE iTIOLATION THEREOF; AND FOR OTHER PURPLES.

BE IT ORDAINE]) BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Building Code.
The Southern Building Code, 1953-1954 Revision, and the
Southern Standard Building Code Part II (Gas), 1953-1954 Edition, as published by
the Southern Building Code Congress, as amended by Ordinance No. 567, Bill No. 295,
of the City of West Palm Beach, Florida, amended by Ordinance No. 578, Bi11 No.
309, of the City of West Palm Beach, Florida, (but not including Section 2101.11
thereof), three copies of each of which are on file with the Village Clerk, be and
the same is hereby adopted as the Building Code of the Village of North Palm Beach,
Florida.
Section 2. Plumbing Code.
The Plumbing Code of the City of West Palm Beach, Florida,
being Ordinance No. 550, Bill No. 280, of such City, as amended, three copies of
which are on file with the Village Clerk, be and the same is hereby adopted as the
Plumbing Code of the Village of North Palm Beach, Florida, except that the following
sections of such Plumbing Code shall not be considered applicable to. such Village:
Sections 33.1, 33,2, 33.3, and 33.4.
Section 3. Electrical Code.
The Electrical Code of the City of West Palm Beach, Florida,
being Ordinance No. 546, Bill. No. 276, of such City, as amended, three copies of
which are on file with the Village Clerk, be and the same is hereby adopted as the
Electrical Code of the Village of North Palm Beach, Florida, except that Sections
16,2, 16.3, 16.5, 16.6, 16.7, 16,8, 16.9, 16.10, 16.11, 16.20, 16,21 and 16.48 of
said Ordinance No. 548, Bill No. 276, shall not be considered applicable to such
Village.
Section 4. Construction.
Whenever the ordinances described in Sections 1, 2 and 3 here-
of refer to the City or to the City of West Palm Beach, the reference shall be

construed to mean to the Village of North Palm Beach, and any reference in such
ordinances to an Inspector shall be construed to refer to the person appointed
' as Inspector by the Village of North Palm Beach by Resolution #8 of such Village,
as it now exists or as it may hereafter be modified or amended.
Section 5. Penalty.
Any person, firm or corporation found guilty of the vio-
lation of any of the terms or provisions of such Codes, shall be fined not more
than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00), or imprisoned for not more than ninety (90)
days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
